Do not allow the foam to remain unopened for more than a week, and avoid using a box cutter to open it. Instead, make a small incision with a ballpoint pen or pencil and tear it from there.

The durability of this foam is remarkable, with an expected lifespan of 7 to 10 years. Care instructions include allowing the foam to breathe for at least 2 days after unpacking in order for it to regain its original size and shape.
