Evolv's LZ (landing zone) caters to budget-conscious climbers. This "No Frills" pad prioritizes maximum performance, following the design of their standard-setting drop pad. The Cap boasts a robust 5" thick 3-layer foam construction, providing a 48" by 36" landing area that instills confidence. It forgoes unnecessary features like a carpet square for foot tidiness, focusing instead on a minimalist carry system that signals readiness for action.

Equipped with adjustable and contoured backpack straps, a larger and more cushioned waistband to distribute weight effectively, a sternum strap for stability, and load lifters to shift weight away from shoulders onto hips, the Cap ensures a comfortable and secure fit. Industrial strength metal cam style buckles offer easy open and close functionality, complemented by convenient handles for swift transportation between boulders without the need to close the pad.

The foam structure comprises a 3" layer of open cell foam sandwiched between 1" layers on top and bottom, designed for safety and affordability. The closed cell foam top layer extends throughout the pad, while the open cell foam is bonded to the bottom layer for enhanced durability and pressure containment.

The suspension system features padded and contoured 85mm (3.3 inch) wide shoulder straps, a 35mm (1.75 inch) wide webbing waist belt, load-lifting straps, and sternum straps for added support. Closure is secured by a G-hook with 25mm (1") Nylon Webbing.

The dimensions of the pad when open are 48"x 36"x 5" (122cm x 91cm x 12.7cm), and when closed are 24"x 36"x 11" (61cm x 91cm x 28cm). Crafted from 900d Poly and water-repellent coated fabric, the Cap weighs 12lb, making it a reliable and efficient choice for climbers seeking quality without breaking the bank.
